I was reading Somerset Studio last night and came upon a quote from an article about collage called "Soul Revealed" by Robyn Thayer. The quote rang so true with my life and my ventures in art:
"I liken this experience to skydiving. It is in this crucial moment I must jump to experience something new. Standing on the edge, considering the risk, my rational mind says, 'NO! Don't do it. Standing here is fine, risk nothing.' Simultaneously, within my heart is this wild bird, craving the free fall ----the way the wind catches her time and time again, softly guiding her into uncharted territory. It is this flight that makes art, that creates music, that is the essence of my soul revealed.
So, I will take what this message has to offer me and jump (once again) into uncharted territory. I hope that everything will turn out right. I think with the right amount of effort and careful planning, everything in my art career will turn out ok.
This weekend, I am headed to a big local arts and crafts festival. Every year, I say that "I am going to get a booth and show my art/jewelry, etc.", but never do for whatever reason or another. Maybe next year. Will have to see how things sell.
I am awaiting my shipment of beads and then will get started on my jewelry. Hopefully, it will come this weekend so I can get going while I am filled with so much inspiration.

All About Posada
A little about Posada:
* All jewelry is made from recycled materials... from the metals to the glass
* I strive to make Posada a green company: almost everything is handled electronically, jewelry is shipped in recycled packaging, and business cards are printed on recycled paper. I recycle materials whenever possible...
* Here's the coolest part about Posada's "Grand Opening", and this will be good on any purchase you make from me until Halloween (or longer, depending on the success of it): you get a free miniature original piece of art from me....you never know what you will get, and that's part of the surprise, but I promise you won't be disappointed! :o)
A little about me:
* I am an art major (photography) and have been making jewelry for over 15 years. My second love is mixed media art. You can visit my art blog at http://www.dragonflystudioatl.blogspot.com/.
* Please visit posada's etsy.com shop if you want to purchase any of the jewelry. http://www.posada.etsy.com/
* You can also find me on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/dragonflystudioposada_atlanta
